How to prepare coffee with the Clever coffee dripper
To enjoy the exceptional experience the Clever Coffee Dripper offers, you’ll need the essential tools, such as the coffee maker and some Melitta filters (the most commonly used). Also, ensure good coffee, a scale, a timer, and a grinder.
The coffee-to-water ratio is 60 gr. of ground coffee per 32 Oz of water. For our preparation, we’ll use 8 Oz of water with 15 gr. of coffee.
The coffee grind should be medium-coarse, keeping the grounds between 500 and 700 microns for best results. A medium roast will bring fragrant and intense notes to the final coffee.
A step-by-step guide to preparing coffee with the Clever coffee dripper
- Heat the water until it boils. We’ll use freshly boiled water for the best result.
- Moisten the filter with hot water to eliminate paper flavors, and preheat both the filter and the Clever Coffee Dripper.
- Drain the water and prepare for extraction.
- Essentially, add 8 Oz of water to the Clever first. By doing so, the coffee will drain much faster in just 1 minute.
- Pour the ground coffee (15gr.) over the water and stir with a spoon to ensure all the coffee comes into contact without breaking the paper filter.
- Close the lid and allow approximately 2 minutes for the infusion.
- After two minutes, break the crust on the surface with a spoon without creating turbulence.
- After two and a half minutes after adding the coffee, place the Clever Coffee Dripper over a cup and enjoy the drainage.
- The complete drainage should last between 1 minute and 1 minute and 15 seconds.
